Telangana CM Orders Magisterial Probe Into Nurse’s Rape and Murder in Tukkuguda

Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy orders a magisterial inquiry into the rape and murder of a 21-year-old nurse in Tukkuguda, while police expedite forensic evidence and chargesheet proceedings.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the rape and murder of a 21-year-old nurse at a private hospital in Tukkuguda, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, directing officials to identify any security lapses that may have contributed to the crime.

The Chief Minister’s Office said the inquiry will examine the circumstances leading to the incident, security arrangements at the accommodation where the victim was staying, possible negligence by the hospital management, and compliance with prescribed safety norms for women employees.

With the accused already in police custody, CM Revanth directed senior police officials to expedite the collection of forensic and other technical evidence and ensure that a comprehensive chargesheet is filed without delay. He also directed authorities to take steps to have the case tried in a fast-track court to ensure speedy justice for the victim’s family.

CM Revanth assured the victim’s family of full government support. Ministers Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and Seethakka had earlier visited the family. The government has also provided financial assistance and sanctioned an Indiramma house to the family.
